This past week we enjoyed a presentation by Jill Goad, Executive Director of Feed Lake Highlands. FLH is an outreach ministry of Lake Highlands United Methodist Church seeking to feed the body, mind, and spirit of Lake Highlands residents living on fixed, limited, and low incomes. Jill spoke about the history, mission, and operations of Feed Lake Highlands and included a number of touching stories about the lives the ministry has impacted. In response to the community’s needs, Feed Lake Highlands is opening a third food distribution day and is looking to purchase a large truck for the pickup of all the food that FLH collects from the North Texas Food Bank and others for distribution to program members in Lake Highlands.
