Adam McGough, and Dr. Tom Bray (virtual)

The club held another Zoom video event on Thursday 6/18/2020 where we had around 53 participants. Our guest presenters were City of Dallas Mayor Pro Tem and District 10 Councilman, Adam McGough, and Dr. Tom Bray, Phd. Dr. Bray with the Institute for Urban Policy Research at UT at Dallas hared the robust Covid19 data tracking tool being used by leaders in the North Texas Region. You are encouraged to check out the dashboard www.urbanpolicyresearch.org/covid19. Dr. Bray shared that he believes personal ownership (washing hands, social distancing, masks) is the number one deterrent everyone needs to practice. Mayor Pro Tem Adam McGough shared a great deal of information about current events in the City of Dallas as well as District 10. McGough is the chair of the City’s Covid19 response task force as well as the Public Safety Committee. In addition to the latest updates on city activity with Covid19 and Social unrest response, Adam shared information and answered questions regarding city finances, District 10 projects, and more. McGough also shared information on the Bonton Village project slated for the open property near Greenville  Ave.and Forest Ln. across form JG’s Hamburgers.
